Better To Have Loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.

Just thinking about that saying. It really depends on where you are in a relationship :').

The red hot Sun shines through, the broken blinds of my heart,
each ray a spear, a pain, a truth.
Leaving me trying to heal, yet another timeless scar.

Will I learn from pain, or willingly unprotect my heart,
And throw open my arms for it again.
I felt your love. I'm a lucky one. Or is that saying a simple feign?

South Africa!

I recently went on a YSES challenge, trip to South Africa, naturally there was a lot of inspiration, and here a two of the poems i wrote. Comment if you want to say anything! :)

Another Fire
Theres a unburning log pile in front of me
fresh for a new night, shaved from a unsuspecting tree.
the heat of the sun domineers the opening,
beating last nights eating flames, by more than three.
This roaring far off orb,
has sent the humans away, and is free,
to blare down on the hot grainy sand.

Last nights roaring heat had another philosophy,
one to bring people together,
warm the weary cooling sand,
and offer a welcoming, if trembling hand.

The Mountains of Moholoholo
The sun blares on their skin,
they seem red, green, brown,
none of them a twin,
all different, their crevases,
a flaw or a shelf.
Nothing is ever a kin,
to the random beauty of nature itself.

Memories

I never wanted to leave
But there will come a day of end.
I wanted to retrieve
The Memories of our days again.
This tangled web we weave
Will once be frowned upon.
And Left we'll be to grieve,
Our memories, wished to be gone.
